“I want a picture” needs a second sentence
Do you want an image to use as an asset, a visual moment in a fictional exchange, or something that will later move? Each answer suggests a different workflow.
IGENFUN and SoulFun both discuss images, but their public material places the image in different contexts. Treating them as interchangeable “AI photo apps” loses the decision.
An output-led route
IGENFUN presents preset-based photos with subsequent edit and animation paths. Its starting proposition is visual: choose a direction, produce an image and decide whether another stage is useful.
For an original fictional adult portrait, a productive sequence is concept, framing, useful still and then motion only if the motion adds something. A still that does not communicate the intended idea is not automatically improved by animation.
The published sequence is specific: open an image in the private feed, choose Video, select an action from the action list, and animate. The Video section advertises a 60-second vertical clip. The FAQ’s 30–90 seconds describes rendering time, not output duration. Those are two distinct developer claims; neither was measured in this research. Confirm the actual generation offer before committing to a deliverable that requires that exact clip length.
A conversation-led route
SoulFun’s download page describes requesting photos from a custom companion. The picture can therefore be part of the conversation rather than a standalone production project.
Imagine a fictional adult pastry chef describing an early-morning bakery. A photo request might illustrate the setting. The ongoing topic—how to prepare for a busy opening—still supplies the reason to return.
That is a different outcome from producing a carefully framed image for a page. More conversational context is not necessarily more control over composition, and a photo request does not establish an animation editor.
Count the right action
SoulFun’s subscription terms specify coin units for texts, voice minutes and video minutes. Those units do not establish the cost of a requested photo. Likewise, a video’s per-minute communication charge is not evidence about the price of rendering an animated clip.
IGENFUN’s linked Payment Rules give a distinct calculation: three credits per photo and ten per video from a shared subscription balance. Three stills followed by one video would use nineteen credits under that document’s model. The homepage instead advertises one-time top-ups with separate output quantities, so the nineteen-credit calculation must not be presented as verification of that homepage offer. The renewal and allowance conflict needs resolution before payment.
For the pastry-chef example, SoulFun’s advertised photo request can describe a permitted outfit and pose inside the conversation. IGENFUN’s animation starts from an existing feed image and an action selection. If you need a moving output from a particular still, the latter is a documented stage; requesting a photo or paying for a live video minute does not supply the same deliverable.
| Phrase | What it does not establish |
|---|---|
| Photo request | A documented cost per usable final image |
| Video call | Generated-video length or rendering credits |
| Animate an image | A live conversation with the character |
| Edit a result | Guaranteed identity preservation |
| Private feed | A complete explanation of server processing |
These distinctions prevent a misleading cost comparison. We leave unknown media charges unknown rather than converting unrelated units.
Choose the first useful result
If the goal is a finished visual asset, define the composition and what you plan to do with it. If the goal is a continuing companion scene, define the character’s role and what the image contributes to the exchange.
Do not add a stage just because it is available. An image can be complete without motion; a conversation can be complete without a picture. For a small non-explicit project, that often yields a clearer decision than choosing the service with the longest advertised feature list.
IGENFUN is the route to inspect for its visual-stage proposition. SoulFun is the route to inspect for a picture embedded in a companion routine. This is a task-fit comparison, not a claim that either produced a better result.
